Ever since Tragically Hip lost a Battle of the Bands competition on our stage in the 80s, Clark has always maintained a strong presence in the local music scene. Hundreds of bands have come through the pub, including national heavyweights like the Hip, Arcade Fire, Arkells, Bedouin Soundclash, k-os, and Craig Cardiff. More recently we’ve lent our stage to critically acclaimed Canadian talent such as Royal Canoe, Young Rival, The Darcys, The Elwins, and River Tiber. As one of the only 100% student-run music venues in Canada, we have our ears to the best emerging talent coming out of the Canadian music scene, so come out to a show and discover the next big thing before they’re selling out arenas…
